Gil Koptash leads us in the welcoming of the Shabbat in our Gallery and Café here at Michal Negrin.
Artist and host, Gil Koptash, led us last Friday morning in an intimate Kabbalat Shabbat ceremony—welcoming of the Shabbat—here at Michal Negrin's Gallery and Café in Bat Yam.
The Kabbalat Shabbat service revolved around the weekly Torah portion, Shmot. Koptash engaged the audience in a fascinating discussion, in an outgoing, humorous, and musical way.
The service began with Koptash playing on his guitar as everyone enthusiastically joined together to sing Bob Dylan's version of Adon Olam (Eternal Lord).
Later on in the service, Koptash treated our guests with some tasteful tips and stories from the Midrash, Talmud, and Kabbalah.
Our romantic Kabbalat Shabbat service was concluded as delicious coffee and cakes were served. All of our guests left our gallery with a sweet taste for more, for more romance, love, and spirituality.
